Draw
The child draws on paper with pencils, markers or crayons. No perfect technique needed — drawing is the heart of it.
Coming soon to the Meta Horizon Store
Children draw on paper with pencils and markers. Take a photo of the finished drawing. Once your world is ready — usually within minutes — you can walk around inside it on Meta Quest, with a short story about the drawing.
Already have the app? Open it on your Quest: the gallery shows a 6-digit code. Upload the photo of the drawing at stepintoyourdrawing.com/make and enter that code. Your world appears in the gallery by itself.
From paper to presence
A child draws on paper. The finished drawing becomes a 3D world with atmosphere and a short story — not a gallery of pictures, but the moment a child sees their own imagination become large enough to stand inside.
Built for Meta Quest
Step into your drawing is a free app for Meta Quest. Every world is made from your own drawing: your child's lines, colors and characters stay recognizably theirs. It works with your hands or with controllers, seated or standing.
Your family's own worlds, plus example worlds to try right away. Private: nothing is shared publicly.
Each world can come with a short story about the drawing, read aloud.
Extra worlds and settings sit behind a parent code: 1 world €0.99, 5 for €3.99, 12 for €7.99, paid through Meta.
How it works
The child draws on paper with pencils, markers or crayons. No perfect technique needed — drawing is the heart of it.
When the drawing is finished, take a photo and upload it at stepintoyourdrawing.com/make with the code from your Quest. A world usually appears within a few minutes, sometimes within a day: every world is checked before it reaches you, and when in doubt a person looks at it.
Open the world in the app and step inside. The app is for users aged 13 and up; younger children can watch along on a phone, tablet or TV.
Child-first by design
The Meta Quest app Step into your drawing is for users aged 13 and up. A parent or guardian sets up the app and manages purchases. Younger children can draw on paper and watch on a phone, tablet or TV; they do not use this app in the headset.
Why it matters
Step into your drawing grew out of Kindertekening, a project that brings drawings to life for children in hospitals and schools.
The real goal is children drawing more, on paper; the VR world is the cherry on top. Families who add worlds in the app help keep that work going.
